2021 Edition

Cercle d’Economia Award for the European Construction

18 June 2021

The main stimulus for the founding principles of the Cercle d’Economia was to contribute to the transition from a closed and obsolete Spain that coexisted with the open and dynamic Europe that was born with the treaty of Rome in 1957.

Today, fully integrated, the challenge is to contribute to a better Europe in circumstances that seem to lead to its weakening.

With the European Construction Award, the Cercle d’Economia wants to recognize the trajectory of those people who, through their leadership from politics, administration, civil society or thought, have contributed to the construction and integration of Europe, to its culture and the presence of the European Union in the world.

In this first edition of the Prize, the Jury has decided to recognize Mario Draghi, President of the Council of Ministers of Italy and former ECB President 2011-2019.

Delivery: within the framework of the Cercle d’Economia Meeting, Hotel W, Friday June 18 at 12:30 p.m.
