Entrepreneur, pioneer in the Smart Cities sector, and expert in digital transformation and innovation.
She has established Anteverti as a leading company in urban innovation, developing projects across Europe, Latin America, Africa, and Asia. Pilar Conesa has been the Commissioner of the Smart City Expo World Congress since its conception in 2011. She has worked closely with Fira de Barcelona to position the event as a global benchmark, organizing around ten international editions of the Smart City Expo each year in different countries.
With over 30 years of executive experience in the ICT sector and public organizations, she has served as CIO of the Barcelona City Council and General Director of Public Sector and Healthcare at T-Systems Iberia. She has also held leadership positions at the IT Center of the Generalitat of Catalonia and on the Organizing Committee of the Barcelona ’92 Olympic Games.
She is President of the Barcelona BITHabitat Business Council, a trustee of EADA Business School, a member of the Supervisory Council of Barcelona Global, and of the General Council of the Barcelona Museum of Contemporary Art.
A frequent speaker at global events and juror in international urban innovation competitions, she was the first woman to receive the honorary award at La Nit de les Telecomunicacions i la Informàtica de Catalunya.
Pilar Conesa completed Executive Business programs at IESE Business School and the European School of Management and Technology (ESMT) in Berlin. She holds a degree in Computer Science from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC).
