Elisabet Alier

President of Alier
Elisabet Alier holds a Law degree from Pompeu Fabra University, a Master’s in Economics for Lawyers from the University of Barcelona, and has completed the PADE program at IESE. She has been practicing law since 1995 and is a founding partner of Devenire Legal, specializing in industrial property and competition law, commercial law, and environmental law. Since 2014, she has served as Chair of the Board of Directors of Alier, S.A., a company that produces recycled paper and valorizes waste. She has been President of ASPAPEL, a Board member of CEPI, and spokesperson for the Alliance for the Competitiveness of Spanish Industry. She has also participated in CEOE, Foment del Treball, and various institutional forums. Elisabet has teaching experience at institutions such as UPF, UB, and ICAB, among others. She currently serves as President of the Catalonia Waste Cluster, Vice President of the Economic and Social Council of Lleida, Vice President of the Friends of Paper Association, and Trustee of the Capellades Paper Mill Museum Foundation. In 2024, she was recognized with the Entrepreneur of the Year Award in Catalonia and Spain’s Most Sustainable Businesswoman Award, both granted by EY.
