He is currently Chairman of EDM Holding, S.A., the parent company of the EDM Group dedicated exclusively to asset management and asset management. He graduated with an Extraordinary Prize in Economics from the University of Barcelona (1967) and an MBA from IESE (1969). His professional career includes his responsibility as General Manager of PAS, S.A., a company dedicated to asset management and financial advice (1970-1989). He was President of Caixa d'Estalvis i Mont de Pietat de Barcelona from 1978 to June 1982. That same year he was executive chairman of Banca Catalana from June 1982 to October 1982. From that date on, he became the Chairman of the Cadí Tunnel, CESA, the company that operates the concession of the Cadí Tunnel and accesses. He held this position until April 1989. On that date he founded the EDM Group, through EDM Serveis Financers, S.A., AV, and EDM Gestió SGIIC, S.A. later 100% owned by EDM Holding, S.A. This Company also holds all the capital of EDM Fund Management (Luxembourg) and LatAm EDM S.A. de CV (Mexico). In parallel with these activities, he has been present on the Board of Directors of the following companies: Autopistas Spanish Concessionaire (ACESA) (1978-1982) where he held the position of Vice-President. FECSA (1980-1982), Hidroeléctrica de Catalunya (1980-1982). He is currently a Director of the following companies: Miquel i Costas i Miquel (since 1992), Ciments Molins (since 2012). In addition to these professional responsibilities, he has been a member of several non-profit organisations: Trustee of the FERO Foundation (cancer research), International Trustee of the Prado Museum, Honorary Member of the Guggenheim Museum Bilbao
