Anna Cristeto has been a journalist and director at El Periódico de Catalunya since 1 June 2019. Between 2011 and 2019, she held the position as delegate of the Europa Press Cataluña, where she previously spent three years as editor in chief of economics and courts. Specialist in business information, she began her professional career in La Vanguardia in 2000 and later continued in the Barcelona branches of the newspapers Expansión and La Gaceta de los Negocios. She was also a member of the press team of UGT de Catalunya for a year and a half. Anna Cristeto holds a degree in journalism from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, a postgraduate in business communication from the Universitat Pompeu Fabra and in 2014 she also studied a Management Development Program (PDD) at the IESE Business School.
