Carles Tusquets holds a PhD in Economics from the Universitat de Barcelona and has more than 40 years of experience in the financial sector. In 1983 he created the Fibanc group - a pioneer in the launch of investment funds in Spain, currently owned by Banco Mediolanum, where he continues to work as chairman. In 2006 he founded the TREA group, one of the most important independent security companies in Spain, and was president of the Cercle d'Economia (1989-1992). He currently chairs the European Financial Planning and Advisory Association (EFPA Spain) and is vice president of INVERCO, member of the advisory committee of the National Securities Market Commission and advisor to Spanish and international companies listed on the Stock Exchange.
