Salvador Alemany

Salvador Alemany holds a degree in Economic Sciences from the University of Barcelona and a post graduate degree from IESE. He is also a Professor of Commerce and a Chartered Accountant. He has held the position as Chairman of Saba Infraestructuras, S.A. since December 2011 and held the same role at Abertis Infraestructuras, S.A. from June 2009 to May 2018. He was previously CEO of the Company after the formation of the Group in 2003, and was General Managing Director of Acesa since 1998 and Saba since 1987. Regarding his institutional activity, he is president of the Fundació del Gran Teatre del Liceu and patron of the Bancària Foundation "la Caixa". He also assumed the role as president of the Fundación Abertis, the Advisory Council for Reactivación Económica y el Crecimiento de la Generalitat de Catalunya, the Cercle d'Economia (2008-2011) and the Social Council of the University of Barcelona. Within his social activity, Salvador Alemany is vice president of the Board of Trustees for the Private Foundation Institut Guttmann - Neurorehabilitation. Within his sports activity he was president of the Basketball Section and vice president of F.C. Barcelona, (1986-2003,) and co-founder of the basketball Euroleague.
