A practicing lawyer since 1981, Miguel Trías Sagnier developed his professional career at Jausás (1981-1983), Bufete & Asociados (1983-1986), Mazars (1987-1990) and Landwell PwC (1990-2004) and since 2005 in Cuatrecasas, where he was a Managing Partner of the Barcelona office until 2018, and is currently a member of the Board of Directors. A professional with extensive experience in business acquisition, LBO / MBO, mergers and spin-offs, joint ventures, as well as financing, restructuring and liability-restructuring projects. He has solid experience in the various areas of commercial law, business agreements and real estate market transactions, as well as participating in court and arbitration proceedings related to these areas. He has been recommended by different legal directories such as Best Lawyers, Chambers Europe and Legal 500 for the practices of Corporate and M&A, Capital Markets, Venture Capital, Private Equity and Manufacturing. In 2017 he was highlighted as Capital Markets Law, Lawyer of the Year by Best Lawyers, and in 2018 as Corporate and M&A Lawyer of the Year. He is a Secretary of the Board of Directors of different companies and has been a director, president and secretary of listed and unlisted companies. Professor of Commercial Law at ESADE and Dean of the Faculty of Law from 1997 to 2001, he is the author of several books, as well as numerous articles in legal journals in the areas of corporate law, corporate governance and corporate finance.
