Núria Cabutí

CEO, Managing Director of Penguin Random House Editorial Group
Graduate in Economics from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB). She also holds a degree in Economic Studies from Oxford Brookes University and an MBA from IESE. She began her career at Bertelsmann in 1992 as a financial analyst and has developed her professional trajectory in the publishing sector. In 1998, she was appointed Marketing Director of Plaza & Janés and later Communications Director. In 2003, she became Editorial Director for the children’s and young adult division of Random House Mondadori, later adding responsibility for Debolsillo. In 2010, she was named CEO and General Director of Random House Mondadori. Since 2013, she has served as CEO of Penguin Random House Grupo Editorial, with operations in nine countries, and is a member of the International Council of Penguin Random House as well as the Supervisory Board of Bertelsmann. She sits on the Board of Directors of the Cercle d’Economia and the AED, is a member of the Supervisory Council of Barcelona Global, and serves on the Board of Trustees of Universidad Ramón Llull and the Advisory Council of the Ortega y Gasset-Gregorio Marañón Foundation. She has extensive experience working with international teams and in company acquisitions and operational integrations, demonstrated by the purchase of Santillana Ediciones Generales (2014), Ediciones B (2017), Ediciones Salamandra and Edicions La Campana (2019), the acquisition from RBA of the Molino, Serres, and La Magrana imprints, and the Portuguese publisher 20/20 Editora (2021), which positioned Penguin Random House Grupo Editorial as the leader in the Spanish-language publishing market.
