Marc Puig studied Engineering at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (1986). In 1990 he received an MBA from Harvard University with a scholarship from La Caixa. In 1991 he joined Antonio Puig S.A. as Director of R&D and New Product Development, a position he held for 5 years. In 1996, he was appointed Chairman of Puig in the USA, and Chairman of the fashion company Carolina Herrera Ltd. based in New York. In 2001 he returned to Barcelona to assume the position of Chairman of the Fashion Division and Senior Vice President of Corporate Development. In 2004 he was appointed CEO of Puig and, in 2007, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Puig, positions he currently holds. Marc Puig is vice president of the IEF (Family Business Institute), Vice President of Cercle d’Economia, member of the Harvard Business School European Advisory Board, member of the IESE International Advisory Board and member of the Catholic Lisbon School International Advisory Board. In 2015 he was awarded the Kellogg Family Enterprise Leadership Award in Chicago. In 2017, he was also honoured by the Fragrance Foundation of America, with the New York Hall of Fame Award.
