Pau Guardans holds a degree in Economics from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB), studied Law at the University of Barcelona (UB), and completed the PDD program at IESE. He has held various executive positions in companies such as Arthur Andersen, Mecalux, Amer SG, Acciona, and AC Hotels.
He served as Director General of Industry at the Ministry of Industry and Energy under Josep Piqué. In 2003, he founded the Único Hotels luxury hotel collection, of which he is President and CEO.
He has participated on several boards of directors of private and publicly listed companies and has collaborated with the governing bodies of various NGOs and civil society initiatives. He was President of Barcelona Global, now serving as Honorary President, and has been a member of various boards at the Cercle d’Economia.
He served as Honorary Consul of South Korea for nearly 10 years and is currently Honorary Consul of the Republic of Vietnam.
