Video of the session: “Barcelona, chip design valley?”

27th April 2023

Chips are the key element that underpins the digital economy and their design is a fundamental factor in the creation of advanced electronic devices capable of satisfying the increasingly demanding needs of industry and the market.

The design of open source chips is one of the key projects for the development of technological autonomy in Europe and Barcelona is leading some of the most promising initiatives in this field, to the point that there is the possibility of converting the area from Barcelona in the valley of chip design.

We talked about this great opportunity in the session that we done on April 27, with the participation of Mateo Valero, general director of the National Supercomputing Center and Andreu Vilamitjana, general director of CISCO in Spain.
